SVP, Internal Quality Audit (IQA)

Riji K is the SVP of Internal Quality Audit (IQA) at Kinara Capital, where she leads field and central audits, investigations, and risk management to ensure regulatory compliance, safeguard company assets, and strengthen the systems of financial and operational controls. In this role, Riji is responsible for defining and setting the strategy for the internal audit vision. She operates as the chief advisor on business risk and oversees the business integrity line program while leading financial and accounting fraud investigations. Her work is guided by the standards for the professional practice of internal auditing, aligning with global best practices.

With 18 years of professional experience in the banking and financial sector, Riji has worked across diverse verticals, including tele-sales, credit underwriting, business operations, training and employee development, tele-collections, and regulatory requirements. At Kinara Capital, she has gained end-to-end business process expertise, managing central and field operations, regulatory reporting, customer service, sales & collections telecalling, and compliance at various stages. She previously held her position at Kinara as the SVP of Business Operations & Customer Care, leading the company’s customer experience operations for 6 years. In that capacity, she optimized the customer lifecycle and led a multi-lingual in-house customer service team. This, combined with her extensive professional experience and strategic management training has uniquely prepared her for the role.

Riji is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). She is an IIM Kozhikode alumna, having completed the Advanced Strategic Management Programme with academic distinction. She holds a postgraduate degree in Business Administration with dual specialization in Finance and Marketing from Jansons School of Business, Coimbatore, and was the 2nd-rank Holder in her undergraduate studies at Bharathiar University. She is also certified by the Insurance Institute of India (IRDA) and is a Harvard-certified professional in Management Studies. Recognized for her contributions to customer experience, she was named twice among the Top 100 CX Leaders in India at the Trescon Top 100 CX Awards.
