For a young professional just starting their career, learning the nuances of how a company works and taking on a challenging role can be a daunting prospect. However, with the right support system in place, that challenge can be transformed into the first bold step on a journey of learning and growth.

At Kinara, new employees are not only offered training and resources to help them learn the ropes, they are also given all the support they need to ease into their new roles. Managers and seniors mentor them through the different stages of immersing themselves in the company culture, as well as getting acquainted with the products and processes at Kinara.

In the course of these trainings, employees pick up new skills and also come to understand where their strengths lie. The company then helps them capitalize on these strengths to steadily grow as professionals. This reputation of being an employer that cares about the development and growth of employees, attracts many young professionals to Kinara.

Priya’s Journey at Kinara

Shanmuga Priya joined Kinara Capital as a fresher in 2018, and has already come a long way in the few years since. She found the role of operations executive to be a promising and exciting one, which is what made her decide to join Kinara. Like many young professionals, she was drawn to the idea of a fast-growing company that offered long-term growth opportunities for freshers like her.

She was brand new to the financial services industry, and it would have been easy for her to feel out of her depth in this new position, but her teammates and managers came in clutch, helping her learn the ropes. Now, as a Senior Operations Executive, she handles a wide range of tasks and responsibilities at the Pollachi hub in Tamil Nadu.

Best Experience Working at Kinara Capital

At Kinara, Priya learned the fundamentals of official procedures and loan processing, document drafting, and customer service. Also, she developed a detail-oriented approach to her tasks, enjoying the documentation process, as well as the fact that she helps resolve customer queries in the best possible way. She considers this to be the best part of her professional experience so far, and takes pride in the fact that she contributes significantly to the process of making formal credit easily accessible to MSME entrepreneurs who need it.

Priya also appreciates the fact that Kinara is an employee-centric organization focused on identifying each team member’s strengths and encouraging them to pursue professional growth and development.

She shares, “I provide my entire team, from field officers to hub manager, with all the details and operational support they need in order to carry out disbursements and collections efficiently. It’s my responsibility to ensure that borrowers’ queries are resolved in a customer-friendly manner. I thoroughly enjoy my job and I’m grateful to Kinara for giving me the opportunity to expand  my professional abilities.”
