The emergence of work-from-home radically altered the way workplaces functioned, and many struggled to adapt to this change. For some employees, however, the transition was not only smooth but also incredibly enriching.

How the process panned out depended largely on how the employer handled the process. In the case of Kinara employees, the transition was a significant, but well-managed one. It was business as usual for a significant section of employees, particularly those based at the Head Office in Bengaluru, as they continued to work remotely throughout the period.

While field operations did come to a halt in compliance with the lockdown mandates, as soon as they were lifted, Kinara representatives started visiting their customers. They had also been checking in with them over calls and messages in the interim. Kinara made every effort to stand by customers during that difficult time, and each employee played their part in making it happen.

Narendra’s Journey at Kinara

Narendra Laxman Pakhare joined Kinara a little over 2 years ago. As the Head of Customer Contact, he now sets and drives processes that involve customer interaction. He is thorough with processes and handles a wide gamut of tasks from helping customers have a seamless onboarding experience and resolving their queries to using RBI-compliant processes to collect on delinquent accounts.

He admires the leadership at Kinara because of their focus on accomplishing the goals they set and how well these objectives align with the larger vision and mission of the company. He is also a fan of the work culture at Kinara and the fact that it is a workplace sans any gender bias.

Best Experience Working at Kinara Capital

When Narendra joined Kinara, the first wave of the pandemic was still at large and organizations were in the midst of switching to the work-from-home setup. While he saw people at other organizations struggle to adapt to the change, for him, the process was smooth, and also offered an incredible learning opportunity.

Kinara’s multilingual call centers remained operational even during the lockdowns, remotely supporting customers through tech-enabled processes, which helped Narendra pick up on his responsibilities quickly. Now he looks back on those initial days as his best work experience.

He shares, "I decided to join Kinara because of the reputation the company has of helping employees grow, and the fact that it is focused on serving the underserved MSME segment. It has proved to be an organization where every individual takes ownership of their responsibilities and works as a team, towards a common goal, and I'm very proud to be part of this team!"

Interests and Hobbies

Narendra started playing basketball when he was in high school and excelled at the sport. He even went on to represent his school at the national level. To this day, he shoots a few hoops to unwind and relax his mind, whenever he gets the chance.

One of his favourite destinations to visit is Norway, because his wife wants to make memories together, watching the Northern Lights. The Aurora Borealis is a stunning natural display of lights and colors in the sky that will undoubtedly help them make memories for a lifetime when they cross the destination off their bucket list.
