Starting a career can be both exciting and daunting, especially for young professionals who are new to the workforce. However, the possibility of taking on entire tasks and projects by themselves can be a thrilling opportunity to learn and grow. When given the opportunity to take on a project, it can be tempting for young professionals to shy away from the responsibility or to rely heavily on their colleagues for guidance. However, taking ownership of a project can be a valuable learning experience that helps individuals develop their skills and confidence. By taking ownership of a project, young professionals can also gain valuable experience and learning, which would set them up for future success in their careers.
Completing an entire project on their own can help young professionals gain a better understanding of the entire process from start to finish, allowing them to see how their contributions fit into the larger picture. This can also help them learn to manage their time and resources effectively, prioritize tasks, and problem-solve when faced with challenges. A key component in freshers finding the confidence to take a task or project head-on is having a supportive team around them. Kinara Capital understands the significance of this, and each team ensures that constant support and learning opportunities are provided to new members of the team so that they can find their footing and take the lead.
Farheen K joined Kinara's Strategy and Products department as a Business Analyst at Kinara’s Head Office in Bengaluru about a year ago. She was a fresher when she joined and was drawn to Kinara as an employer when she heard that the company provides excellent opportunities for young professionals to grow. This seemed like just the opportunity for her, and in the time since she’s joined, her idea has been affirmed.
Farheen’s current responsibilities include supporting Quality Assurance, in conducting testing and development. At present, her responsibilities include requirement gathering, analyzing the tasks, documenting everything from end to end, and if necessary, giving walk-throughs. She is a confident, mindful, and dedicated professional who gives her best to the task at hand, and that has been a key component of her ability to learn and excel at new tasks.
As a first-time employee, Farheen is thrilled with the constant learning opportunities that her job and Kinara Capital have provided her with even with the short period she has been here. Farheen has been involved in the development of multiple projects and systems, gaining expertise in various areas such as functionality and back-end logic, and acquiring technical knowledge in the process.
She shares, "What I love most about my role is that I get to own my tasks from start to finish and interact with different departments to provide solutions to their requirements. I am also very grateful for the supportive team around me, who have helped me gain confidence and learn from my experiences. Kinara Capital is the perfect place for anyone looking to take their career to the next level. It provides excellent opportunities for growth and development, and I am proud to be a part of this company."
Farheen loves to travel and finds inspiration in a variety of destinations. She enjoys reveling in nature, but she’s also drawn to man-made marvels like ancient monuments and bustling cities. Her favourite destination is Dubai.
She also loves to watch movies and spend quality time with her family, whenever she can.
