Arun Jagtap joined Kinara Capital in 2020 as a Regional Sales Manager in the Mumbai Central region. He was initially drawn in by the fact that he saw Kinara making a real difference in the lives of MSME entrepreneurs by providing collateral-free loans. He realized that being part of an organization that is impact-oriented instead of being focused exclusively on profitability, would be very fulfilling for him.
After he joined Kinara, he started off managing four hubs in the Mumbai Central region. Two additional hubs were soon added to the list, and his responsibilities expanded. Now he has around 35 people reporting to him and has been handling his various managerial tasks and responsibilities with self-assurance.
Arun has an incredible ability for firefighting and takes care of his team's evolving needs by staying connected and tuned in to their abilities and challenges. This ability has been honed further as he took on evolving responsibilities at Kinara, supported by his managers and colleagues.
Since he started managing the six hubs under him, the AUM of the region has also tripled from around Rs. 20 crores, to Rs. 60 crores. He considers this scaling up as the best part of his experience at Kinara so far. He focuses on boosting sales and sustaining a healthy portfolio to support the company's long-term growth.
Arun shares, "Managing teams is my strong suit. I have picked up crisis management and conflict resolution skills along the way, and these help me keep my team stable and performing at their best. Arun enjoys listening to music and playing cricket in his free time, but perhaps his most cherished hobby is traveling. He likes to take time off to go on trips, which are opportunities for him to unwind and give himself the space to clear his mind. He likes to spend time with his closest friends and loved ones on these trips, or even just be on his own.
The most interesting part of his preference for travel is that he loves the journeys more than the destinations. The anticipation of discovering new places and the beauty of the roads that lead to his destination captivate him, and he never wants it to end.
